Dear Representatives,
I am delighted to hear that you have initiated legislation (House
Concurrent Resolution No. 46) calling for the impeachment of President Bush (& Cheney). Even though I believe the probability of its success is roughly equivalent to the chances of a snowball passing Hades, I still think this could have wonderful educational possibilities. I look forward to the opportunities such a bill would provide to enlighten the public as well as the uninformed legislators of our state as to the full extent of the crimes and misdemeanors that have become the standard operating procedure for this administration. I have always contended that, considering the truly heinous nature of Bush's and Cheney's crimes, Impeachment should be a bipartisan issue. I do believe that integrity and honesty are not the province of any one party and that if good Republicans had not been so blinded to the truth by the smoke and mirrors of the neocons they would be have been the first to raise the hue and cry. Now the continuing stench has finally reached the nostrils of congressional Republicans and some have even begun to awaken. This bill gives us a perfect opportunity to lift the veil and reveal the shame that should shock every American. I also think that the press is finally ready to cover responsable legislators such as yourselves, corageous organizations and patriots who will speak out.
I have followed this issue closely and would love to be notified of all hearings and other events surrounding this issue. I would also be willing to testify as a concerned citizen.
